BROCCOLI PASTA RECIPE

BROCCOLI RECIPE INGREDIENTS
  • 1 1/2 boxes Barilla mostacioli
  • 1 1/2 heads broccoli
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1 teaspoon ginger (optional)
  • 1/2 cup olive or canola oil

BROCCOLI RECIPE INSTRUCTIONS
Start by boiling water in a large pot. Once water has boiled, pour in the mostacioli noodles. Bring noodles to a simmer for about ten minutes or until noodles are soft and tender.
While the noodles are simmering, add the olive oil then prepare the broccoli in a separate pot.
Heat both the noodles and broccoli on medium high. When both are done, drain the noodles along with all of the olive oil that was added to the water (the oil was just to give it flavor).
Remove from burner and mix the broccoli and mostacioli in the pot. Add the garlic, ginger and butter to the mixture.
Return pot to stove and heat over low heat for about five minutes. Serve.Enjoy!

PENNE PASTA WITH BROCCOLI AND SPINACH

BROCCOLI RECIPE INGREDIENTS
  • 1/2 packet Penne pasta
  • 1/2 bag baby spinach
  • 1 cup broccoli spears
  • olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • salt
  • black pepper
  • grated Parmesan cheese (garnish)
  • freshly chopped parsley (garnish)

BROCCOLI RECIPE INSTRUCTIONS
First of all cook Penne pasta al dente, as per the instructions on the packet. Mince garlic cloves. And then Heat oil and add the garlic cloves, washed spinach leaves and broccoli.
Next is to Sauté for several minutes, until spinach reduces and becomes tender.
Do not cook so long that the vegetables lose their color and become mushy.
And then add salt and pepper to taste and toss in cooked Penne pasta. Garnish with Parmesan cheese and fresh parsley.

Lemon Broccili Recipe









LEMON BROCCOLI RECIPE


This lemon broccoli recipe, just the thing for a weekday family meal. This is wonderful with chicken or fish.
BROCCOLI RECIPE INGREDIENTS:

* 16 to 20 ounces frozen broccoli spears
* 2 tablespoon melted butter
* 1/2 teaspoon fresh grated lemon zest
* scant 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

BROCCOLI RECIPE INSTRUCTIONS :
Cook broccoli following package directions. Combine melted butter, lemon peel, and pepper. Drain broccoli; transfer to serving dish. Drizzle with butter mixture. Serve hot.

BROCCOLI RECIPE INGREDIENTS
  • 1/4 c. chopped onion
  • 4 c. cauliflower, cut up sm.
  • 4 c. broccoli, cut up sm.
  • 1 c. chopped cabbage
  • 1 c. chopped spinach (frozen)
  • 1/2 c. chopped fine celery
  • 1 1/2 c. American cheese, cut up
  • 2 c. milk
  • 1/2 c. cream
  • 1 stick butter
  • 2 chicken bouillon cubes
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 3 tbsp. cornstarch dissolved in 1/4 c. water
  • 1 tsp. salt Pepper to taste

BROCCOLI RECIPE INSTRUCTIONS
Put all ingredients in kettle and simmer for 2 hours or until vegetables are tender. Be careful not to scorch...enjoy the broccoli recipe !

BROCCOLI AND BARLEY SOUP

BROCCOLI RECIPE INGREDIENTS
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 onions, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 lb. mushrooms, sliced
  • 1/2 teaspoon rosemary, crushed
  • 6 cups boullion, reconstituted
  • pearl barley
  • 2-3 cups chopped broccoli
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup water
  • milk

BROCCOLI RECIPE INSTRUCTIONS
Sauté onions, mushrooms, minced garlic and dried rosemary in butter.Pour in 6 cups boullion (vegetable, beef or chicken flavor) and 3/4 cup of pearl barley.
Simmer until barley is soft (about 45 minutes). For thickener, stir 2 tablespoons cornstarch into 1/4 cup of cold water and 2 cups milk.Stir in 2-3 cups broccoli bits and simmer for 10-20 minutes over low heat.
Season with salt and pepper, to taste.

BROCCOLI RECIPE INGREDIENTS
  • 1 bag cut frozen broccoli (small bag)
  • 1-8oz. pkg. cream cheese
  • 1/2 block Velveeta cheese
  • 2 cans evaporated milk
BROCCOLI RECIPE INSTRUCTIONS
In saucepan over low-medium heat, place milk and cheeses until cheese is melted. Once all is melted and smooth you may add more milk if you like it thicker. I usually wait until I add the broccoli, sometimes the water from the broccoli is enough.

BROCCOLI VEGETABLE SOUP

BROCCOLI RECIPE INGREDIENTS
  • 8 strips bacon or 1 cup chopped ham
  • 1/4 c. flour
  • 4 c. milk
  • 20 oz. pkg. frozen mixed vegetables
  • 10 oz. pkg. frozen broccoli, finely chopped
  • 1 chicken or vegetable bouillon cube
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

BROCCOLI RECIPE INSTRUCTIONS
Bring the frozen mixed vegetables and finely chopped broccoli to a boil. Set aside to drain.
In a skillet, saute bacon or ham until crispy; drain on paper towels and set aside.
Add enough bacon drippings into soup pan to coat bottom of pan.
Simmer onions until clear in soup pan.
Whisk in 1/4 cup flour and 4 cups milk. Stir well. Add vegetables and bacon and bouillon.
Simmer until soup is thickened to desired consistency.
Salt and pepper to taste. This soup has better flavor when eaten the next day.

BROCCOLI RICE AND CHEESE CASSEROLE

BROCCOLI RECIPE INGREDIENTS
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 10oz pkgs of frozen broccoli, cooked and drained
  • 1 stick of butter
  • 2 can cream of chicken soup
  • 6 cups of wild rice
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 3 cups of shredded cheese, your favorite
BROCCOLI RECIPE INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat oven to 350°F.
In a skillet melt the stick of butter. Sauté onion and garlic, until onions are tender. Set aside to cool.
Steam the frozen broccoli until thawed, then drain well. Let cool.
Cook wild rice according to directions. (Use any type of rice desired; wild rice is exceptionally good in this recipe).
It is important to allow the warm ingredients to cool before mixing everything together so the cheese doesn't melt too soon.
When sufficiently cool, reserve 1/2 cup of the cheese and mix remaining ingredients together. Put in a oven-proof baking dish or casserole dish (or 2 if needed).
Spread reserved 1/2 cup of cheese on top. Cover with foil.
Bake for 20 minutes, remove foil; bake an additional 5 to 15 minutes, or until cheese on top is hot and bubbly.
Make approx 12 servings, recipe can be cut in half.

* 2 boxes Jiffy corn muffin mix, or similar
* 4 eggs, beaten
* 1 1/2 sticks melted butter or margarine (6 ounces)
* 1 pkg. (10 oz) chopped broccoli, thawed and drained
* 1 medium onion, chopped
* 1 cup cottage cheese

Broccoli Recipe Instruction:
Combine all ingredients and pour into greased 9- X 13-inch baking dish. Bake at 375° for 35 to 40 minutes, or until lightly browned. The broccoli recipe is ready to serve !

Steam broccoli until tender but firm, about 5 to 7 minutes. heat the butter in a heavy nonstick skillet over medium heat; add the garlic and sauté for 1 minute. BROCCOLI SOUFFLE WITH CHEESE SAUCE








BROCCOLI SOUFFLE WITH CHEESE SAUCE ...a nice broccoli recipe ! Try it !

INGREDIENTS
  • Butter
  • Grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 pkg. (10 oz.) frozen chopped broccoli, thawed
  • 3 tbsp. each butter & all-purpose flour
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. grated nutmeg
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 1/4 c. shelled sunflower seeds
  • 5 eggs, separated
  • About 1 tbsp. shelled sunflower seeds (opt.)

INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Generously butter a 1 to 1 1/2 quart souffle dish or casserole. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese, turning dish to coat bottom and sides; set aside. Drain broccoli in colander and press out any excess liquid with a spoon; set aside.
In a 2 quart pan over medium heat, melt the 3 tablespoons butter.
Blend in flour and cook, stirring, until bubbly. Gradually pour in milk nd continue cooking and stirring until sauce boils and thickens.
Stir in salt, nutmeg, pepper and the 1/4 cup sunflower seeds and broccoli; remove from heat. Add egg yolks, beating vigorously with a wooden spoon. Whip egg whites until stiff, moist peaks form; carefully fold egg whites into sauce. Pour mixture into prepared souffle dish. If desired, top with about 1 tablespoon sunflower seeds. Bake uncovered at 375 degrees for about 30 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. While souffle bakes, prepared sauce to serve at the table. The broccoli recipe of souffle is ready to serve.... immediately. Nice taste !

CHEDDAR CHEESE SAUCE:

In small pan over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons butter. Blend in 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour and cook, stirring, until bubbly. Gradually pour in 1 cup milk and continue cooking and stirring until sauce boils and thickens. Add:
  • 1/2 tsp. each dry mustard & salt
  • A dash of ground red pepper (cayenne)
  • 1 1/4 c. (about 5 oz.) shredded cheddar cheese
Stir until cheese is melted. The broccoli recipe is ready to serve.....great taste ! Enjoy it !

INGREDIENTS
  • 1 bag (16 oz.) broccoli cole slaw
  • 1 bag (3 oz.) Snack Ramen Oriental Noodle Soup (Oriental flavor)
  • 1 c. cooking oil
  • 6 tbsp. sugar
  • 6 tbsp. vinegar
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 c. chopped green onions may also be added

INSTRUCTIONS
Place shredded broccoli into bowl with onions. Crush oriental noodles and add to salad. Mix oil, sugar, vinegar, salt, pepper, and flavor packet (from soup mix). Right before serving pour dressing over salad and toss to coat. The broccoli recipe is ready....enjoy it !

broccoli Recipe INGREDIENTS
  • 1 c. orzo
  • 8 oz. Velveeta cheese, grated
  • 1 med. onion, chopped fine
  • 1 pkg. frozen chopped broccoli (defrosted & drained)
  • 1 stick butter
Broccoli Recipe INSTRUCTIONS
Cook orzo in 2 quarts of water and drain. Saute onions and broccoli in butter until soft. Combine onions, broccoli, orzo and Velveeta.
Mix until smooth and blended.
Pour into a 2 quart baking pan (I prefer a Corning ware or Pyrex pan.) Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Heat until warm. The broccoli recipe is ready to serve.....hmmm...nice !

AMISH BROCCOLI SALAD ...try this great broccoli recipe....a great one !

INGREDIENTS
  • 1 lg. head broccoli, broken into small flowerettes
  • 1 med. onion or about 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 8 to 10 slices bacon
  • 1 c. mayonnaise
  • 1/4 to 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 to 3 tbsp. vinegar
  • 1/2 c. raisins
  • 1/2 c. nuts (optional)
INSTRUCTIONS
Cut bacon into bits and fry crisp. Mix together mayonnaise, sugar, vinegar, bacon and raisins. Pour over broccoli and onions. Mix well. Let stand at least 1 hour or more before serving. The broccoli recipe is ready to serve....enjoy the salad !

INGREDIENTS
  • 1 piece celery
  • 1 broccoli
  • 1 pint chicken stock
  • 2 ounces of Stilton cheese
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 pint double (or heavy) cream
INSTRUCTIONS
in a food processor or blender, purée vegetables and stock together; add cream and Stilton. Blend for a further 2 mins until a thick, creamy consistency is achieved.
Add salt and peper to taste. Serve with a crusty bread roll...and the broccoli recipe is ready ! Enjoy !

BROCCOLI CHICKEN CUPS RECIPE..try this nice broccoli recipe..!

INGREDIENTS
  • 2 1/2 cups diced cooked chicken breasts
  • 1 10 oz. can cream of chicken soup, (no water added)
  • 1 cup frozen chopped broccoli, thawed and drained
  • 2 small plum tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 small carrot, grated
  • 1 tablespoon dijon mustard
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1 pkg. frozen puff pastry, thawed
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

INSTRUCTIONS
Mix the first 8 ingredients together and set aside.
Spray a 12 cup muffin tin with Pam.
Roll pastry out on a floured bread board in the shape of a 12X9 inch rectangle.
Cut pastry into 4 lengthwise strips 3 strips wide.
Press the pastry squares into muffin cups and spoon chicken mixture into the cups.
Sprinkle over with Parmesan cheese. The broccoli recipe is ready...!

BROCCOLI RECIPE BEAN AND BOWTIE PASTA SALAD

INGREDIENTS
  • 4 oz bowtie pasta cooked tender and drained
  • 11 oz can mandarin oranges; drained
  • 15 oz can garbanzo beans; drained and rinsed
  • 1 large bunch of fresh broccoli; washed, trimmed and chopped
  • 2 green onions; sliced thin
Dressing:
  • 1/4 c white vinegar
  • 1/4 c orange juice
  • 1 tbs vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp basil
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1/4 tsp minced garlic
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
INSTRUCTIONS
In large salad bowl, toss cooled pasta with mandarin oranges and vegetables. In a shaker container combine ingredients for the dressing; shake to mix.
Pour dressing over the salad. Serve immediately or cover and refrigerate until serving time. The broccoli recipe is ready...enjoy !

BROCCOLI CAULIFLOWER CASSEROLE

BROCCOLI CAULIFLOWER CASSEROLE
Try this broccoli recipe !
INGREDIENTS
  • 1 bunch of broccoli
  • 1 head of cauliflower
  • 1 can of (evaporated) milk
  • 1 can of cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 can of cream of chicken/celery soup
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 tbsp. of paprika
  • 1 tbsp. of oregano
  • 1/2 tsp. of cayanne pepper (if desired)
  • 1/2 cup of Parmesan cheese
  • *1/4 cup of softened butter is optional (to be mixed with soup and milk)

INSTRUCTIONS
Cut broccoli and cauliflower into edible-sized pieces of and set aside for the moment. Crush/mince the garlic and add the pinch of salt to the garlic, for this will help the mincing if you're doing it by hand.
In a mixing bowl, combine milk and both cans of soup and mix well.
You may mix the spices in with the soup mix at this time, as well as with the garlic, or you can add the spices at the end to top off the casserole.
Finally, put the broccoli and cauliflower in a casserole dish, then pour the soup mix and spices over top, distributing evenly.Sprinkle the Parmesan cheese over the top and bake (covered)for about 30-40 minutes at 350F, or until vegetables are soft enough to eat.

A variation of this recipe might include red peppers or sauteed chicken breast (both are quite good), which can be mixed in with the soup mix.
The combination of spices included here is only a guideline, and you are encouraged to try your own combinations, although you shouldn't leave out the garlic. The broccoli recipe with cauliflower is ready to serve..! great !

  • 1/4 cup creamy or chunky peanut butter
  • 2 tablespoons Equal spoonful*
  • 1-1/2 tablespoons hot water
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon light soy sauce
  • 1-1/2 teaspoons dark sesame oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 3 cups fresh broccoli florets
  • 1/2 cup chopped red bell pepper
  • 1/4 cup sliced green onions
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
Broccoli Recipe INSTRUCTIONS
Combine peanut butter, Equal, hot water, lime juice, soy sauce, sesame oil and red pepper flakes until well blended; set aside.Heat vegetable oil in large skillet over medium-high heat. Add broccoli, red pepper, green onions and garlic. Stir-fry 3 to 4 minutes until vegetables are tender-crisp. Remove from heat and stir in peanut butter mixture.
